Our whimsical heroes prepare themselves for the journey ahead. The leader of this crew of adventurers is known as Bread, the Mage. Followed by the trustiest of companions, Toast, the Archer, and End-Piece, the Warrior.

Questline - Page 1

Our heroes take their first steps upon one of the oldest paths in all of Grain Valley. They can see the mountains in the background of the landscape before them. As they walk, they see in the distance ahead of them large amounts of black smoke rising until it disappears into the sky.

Questline - Page 2

The source of smoke surrounds our heroes as their path brings them to the center of what used to be a village. It seems to be completely abandoned with no signs of life. Yet, all the remains of the village appear to have only recently burned to a crisp. What could have possibly happened here?

After some time investigating the recently torched village our heroes continue on the path. Toast is happy to be leaving it behind them, but Bread continues to wonder what could have possibly caused such immense damage... and where were all the villagers?

The village and its dark clouds can no longer be seen behind our heroes. However, Bread still cannot stop pondering the village, and what could have happened to it. Suddenly, within a span of few seconds, Toast notices their three shadows engrossed by a much larger one and hears what is approaching behind them.
